US Open Venues

The United States Open Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Open, is the annual open golf tournament of the United States. First staged in 1895, it is the second oldest of the four men's major championships. TeamEgoli hope site visitors will enjoy taking a look at some of these outstanding venues...

Inverness Club

Since 1903, Inverness Club has welcomed guests and golfers from around the world.

Medinah Country Club

While No. 3 is today by far the most famous - hosting U.S. Opens and PGA Championships, among other big tournaments - it was originally intended as the "ladies course" at Medinah.

Merion Golf Club

Merion Golf Club is consistently rated among America's greatest golf courses, and will host the Walker Cup in 2009 and the U.S. Open in 2013.

Oak Hill Country Club

With each major championship it proudly hosts, Oak Hill scribes another chapter in golf's memory book.

Oakland Hills Country Club

Some of the greatest players ever to play the game including Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Ben Hogan have competed and won on the famed South Course, also known as "The Monster".

Oakmont Country Club

Oakmont Country Club has hosted more major Championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Open.

Olympia Fields Country Club

The North Course, ranked among the top 50 golf courses in the United States, was renovated in preparation for the 2003 U.S. Open, but remains true to Willie Park's vision with testing bunkers and treacherous greens.

Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach has been the site of golf's most prestigious tournaments, including the annual AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, the 1972, '82, '92 and 2000 U.S. Open Championships.

Pinehurst No. 2

Bobby Jones so revered Pinehurst, he connected it to golf's homeland as the "St. Andrews of United States Golf."

The Riviera Country Club

Noted for its spectacular beauty and uniquely challenging design, the George C. Thomas masterpiece is perennially rated among the very finest in the world.
